While working as a barista at both Upper Left locations, I also assisted part time in the roastery and production branch of the flagship store. My responsibilities here included processing and filling bulk orders from vendors in Oregon and around the country. This included communicating with customers via email, over the phone and in person. I worked by myself and with our roasters in preparation, packaging and shipping of our coffee. I was also in charge of cleaning and helping to maintain our roaster and equipment.

Barista
February 2018 - Present
While working at Upper Left, I worked at honing my skills in customer service and creating and maintaining a welcoming and pleasant environment for coffee professionals and customers. As a key holder, I often open or close by myself, being responsible for inventory management, till balancing, and food and beverage preparation. I've received cross training to work in the kitchen, as well as fulfill my duties as a barista. I've worked with larger businesses that resell our coffee, occasionally coordinating tastings and events to boost brand awareness. My overall priority is connecting every client and customer with the best services and products possible, and leave them with a lasting positive impression.
